This activity will engage you in respectful and productive conversations, both online and in person.


Take part in workshops and debates where you’ll learn effective communication techniques, active listening, and conflict resolution. You’ll also get the chance to organise community dialogues that encourage diverse voices.

Now, take action!

You’ll be better equipped to engage in constructive conversations and resolve conflicts peacefully, making your community a more understanding place by taking part in the following activities in your city:
  • Take skills workshops: Develop your skills in debating, effective communication and active listening through participating in role-play scenarios and exercises, for example, “Volcano Eruption” 2.0.
  • Join a debate club or activity: Practise your dialogue skills in debates on topics that matter to you, with feedback to help you improve.
  • Participate in community dialogue events: Host and participate in events that bring together different perspectives in your community. Use the toolbox to learn how to organise the Dialogue activities to implement the Youth Goals together.

Constructive dialogue participation:
  • Task: Participate in a debate or dialogue session on a topic of your choice, applying the principles of respectful communication and active listening learned during the "Dialogue Champs: Engaging in Constructive Conversations" activity.
  • Evidence: Submit a summary of the debate or dialogue, including your role, the arguments presented, and the outcome of the discussion.

Community dialogue event:
  • Task: Organise or contribute to a community dialogue event that encourages diverse voices to be heard.
  • Evidence: Submit a report or photos from the event, detailing your contributions and the impact of the dialogue on the community.
