Badge informationEndorsements
This badge is awarded for completing the “Connect Your Surroundings and Organise an Impactful Action” activity. Your participation demonstrates your commitment to raising awareness and encouraging others to adopt sustainable practices. Many people overlook the catastrophic repercussions of their actions and their role in contributing to environmental issues. Your initiative will inspire your peers and network, showing that everyone shares responsibility for these challenges and that anyone can take meaningful steps to help mitigate them.

Skills and experiences gained (according to the European Competence Framework for Volunteering in Environmental Projects):
  • Organisational Skills: Through this event you will succeed in creating an impactful event in your area.To succeed that, you need to distribute the tasks correctly in order to provide the necessary result, as well as putting a timeline and schedule that you will need to follow.
  • Strategic Methods: This activity will allow you to think outside the ordinary and exceed your normal spectrum and social circle. Therefore, a strategic plan will help you to perform your activity and how in order to expand your visibility. This will help you in the future whenever you seek to organise an event or another activity.
  • Communication Skills: This badge requires the use of communication methods to effectively promote your activity. Whether through local press, social media, or proper advertising, it will help you understand how to collaborate and efficiently convey the correct message and information to third parties.

This badge highlights your creative abilities as well as your leadership and collaborative skills in managing a group of people. Every contribution to a team is essential, and learning to effectively delegate and manage responsibilities will support your future ability to oversee related roles in the workplace. It will also help you organise larger activities related to environmental causes and expand your network.

The organisation of collective activities aligns with European Youth Goal #10: A Sustainable Green Europe. Cities of Learning Network partners commend the badge earner’s efforts to gain visibility through an event that promotes a sustainable lifestyle. This badge will be issued upon verification of the activity.

Even if the event doesn’t achieve the level of success initially anticipated, Cities of Learning Network partners recognise and support the efforts of young people to engage in ecological activities.
